Brief Description of Subject: Third Window: The Baptism and temptation of the Savior
The Christ who assumed all of our sins fulfilled all righteousness
When he was baptized his monogram above the water and extending into the water of the Jordan indicates his baptism. The Holy Spirit who came upon Jesus without measure is symbolized by the descending dove, the voice of the Father of the wind. The shell to the baptism by our baptism. The hard rocky road that leads from the water reminds us of the way into the wilderness in which he was tempted 40 days and 40 nights by the Devil.

The MSGC is a constantly evolving database. Not all the data that has been collected by volunteers has been sorted and entered. Not every building has been completely documented.

All images in the Index are either born-digital photographs of windows or buildings or are scans of slides, prints, or other published sources. These images have been provided by volunteers and the quality of the material varies widely.

If you have any questions, additions or corrections, or think you can provide better images and are willing to share them, please contact donald20@msu.edu
