Building Notes: Construction of the Church building was started circa 1933, however the Depression slowed down the construction. The basement of the building was completed in1947 and church services were held there until completion of the Church in 1962. There have been changes to the interior brought about by Vatican II. The altar and the baptistry have been moved from their original location.
All of the stained glass windows were designed by a member of the Church, Andrew R. Maglia. He had learned his craft in Italy and immigrated to the United States, eventually opening a studio in Detroit.
