Subject/Title of Window: The Peacefulness of Christian Life: Final Descent

Brief Description of Subject: The window group 1-5 represents the peacefulness of Christian life, with the Christian following the path to salvation and always looking to the light of Christ on the horizon. The greens and blues give an illusion of mountains, trees and water, and the flowing shapes indicate pilgrims on the path to salvation. The final window of the set shows the continuation of the descent to peace in God’s country. This finishes the arch that is created by the set (People journeying up the mountain and then descending) which echoes the arch motif throughout the sanctuary.

The MSGC is a constantly evolving database. Not all the data that has been collected by volunteers has been sorted and entered. Not every building has been completely documented.

All images in the Index are either born-digital photographs of windows or buildings or are scans of slides, prints, or other published sources. These images have been provided by volunteers and the quality of the material varies widely.

If you have any questions, additions or corrections, or think you can provide better images and are willing to share them, please contact donald20@msu.edu
