Brief Description of Subject: Jesus carrying a golden staff in one hand and holding a “lost sheep” in the other. Also sheep strolling among rocks and water. A fish (lower left) portrays Jesus as a “fisher of men” as well as early symbol of Christ and Christians.
Inscriptions: I am the Good Shepherd I know my sheep and my sheep know me. I lay down my life for the sheep. John 10:14, 15.
