Subject/Title of Window: Panel 19

Brief Description of Subject: Blue in-painted shield containing shaded gold “X” shape. (Possibly swords?) Solid red abstract pieces surround the shield to form a circle. Outer circular border contains solid blue pieces alternating with white and gold pieces in-painted with leaf and scroll patterns.

Heraldic significance:
Blue symbolizes steadfastness, strength, truth, and loyalty. Gold symbolizes elevated thought and understanding, respect, virtue, majesty, and generosity. White symbolizes cleanliness, wisdom, innocence, peace, sincerity, and joy. Red symbolizes warriors or martyrs, military strength, and eagerness to serve one’s country. This medallion displays the argent of St. Albans Abbey.
