Brief Description of Subject: Description fromConnick worksheet #2407.
The instructions given to the artist for the design of this window --- The Lord's Prayer to be worked out in free lettering with spots of brilliant color all through it, surrounded by an ornamental border. It should be quite a light window, but with good color accents. [A particular Protestant version of the Lord's Prayer was later specified.]
The artist Mr. Connick suggested a radiant symbol of Christ at the top, which establishes the key to the entire arrangement. He felt there is a very successful balance between the warm and cool colors in this design, the limpid blues forming a perfect foil for the brilliant rubies and united by a thread of silver and gold which forms the text, insuring a light and brilliant window.

The MSGC is a constantly evolving database. Not all the data that has been collected by volunteers has been sorted and entered. Not every building has been completely documented.
All images in the Index are either born-digital photographs of windows or buildings or are scans of slides, prints, or other published sources. These images have been provided by volunteers and the quality of the material varies widely.
