Subject/Title of Window: Science, Arts, and Religion

Brief Description of Subject: First of three windows located in the north aisle. Each window consists of three lancets which are headed by a symbol of a profession and then three noted people from that profession.
 
Left Lancet: Science 
Albert Einstein (1879 - 1955) theoretical physicist with his famous equation e = m X c squared. 
Charles Kettering (1876 - 1958) with his invention of the electric starter for the automobile. 
Thomas Alva Edison (1847 - 1931) with his inventions of the phonograph and electric light bulb.
 
Middle Lancet: Fine Arts 
Frank Lloyd Wright (1867 - 11959) with the Johnson Wax Headquarters building that he designed. 
Thomas Jefferson (1743 - 1826) with the Declaration of Independence that he authored, seal of a President of the United States, and his home, the Monticello, that he designed. 
John Monteith (1788 - 1868) Teacher and clergyman who was instrumental in founding the Detroit Library and the University of Michigan.
 
Right Lancet: Clergy 
Archbishop Temple (1881 - 1944) Anglican priest who became the Archbishop of York and later Canterbury. 
Bishop John Williams (1817 - 1899) shown here with the logo of Yale University. He was the founder of the Berkeley Divinity School. The school moved next to Yale University and has become affiliated with it. He was the 11th presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church in America. 
Bishop Brent (1862 - 1929) an Anglican priest was the first bishop of the Missionary District of the Philippines and served as the Chaplain General of the American Expeditionary Forces (A.E.F.) in WW1.
 
At the bottom of the middle lancet appears information that this window was designed and painted by Katherine Lamb Tait of the J.& R. Lamb Studios of Tenafly N.J.
 
A plaque under this window reads, "In loving memory of Ethel E. Weingarden by David Weingarden M.D., John R. and John P. DeWald."
