Subject/Title of Window: The 6th Station of the Cross, Veronica Wipes The Face of Jesus
Brief Description of Subject: This is the 6th of 14 clerestory windows in the Church, seven on each side, which cover the Stations of the Cross. Traditionally at each stop there will be a time for meditation. For these windows the top section covers the station while the bottom section has a meditation for that station.
The sixth station is, "Veronica wipes the face of Jesus." Pictured is Veronica wiping the face of Jesus with her veil. Above is seen the flaming heart of Jesus, a symbol for his great love for us.
The meditation for this station is "Imprint on my soul O God your likeness." Pictured is Jesus' image that was left on Veronica's veil.

The MSGC is a constantly evolving database. Not all the data that has been collected by volunteers has been sorted and entered. Not every building has been completely documented.
All images in the Index are either born-digital photographs of windows or buildings or are scans of slides, prints, or other published sources. These images have been provided by volunteers and the quality of the material varies widely.
If you have any questions, additions or corrections, or think you can provide better images and are willing to share them, please contact donald20@msu.edu
