Subject/Title of Window: Sacred Heart of Jesus

Brief Description of Subject: Devotion to the Sacred Heart dates to the early 12th Century and has become one of the most widespread devotions in the Catholic Faith.

In the center of this epistle side transept rose is Christ dressed in red and white, gesturing upwards with His right hand and touching His exposed Sacred Heart with his left hand.

The exposed Sacred Heart is pictured as a flaming heart, surrounded by the Crown of Thorns, dripping blood and topped with a crucifix. The entire image is bathed in an aura of light.

Traditionally, as in this Church, The Sacred Heart window is opposite the Immaculate Heart window.

According to archival material, this window was donated by the St. Anthony Society.
