Building Name: St. Charles Catholic Church

City: Newport

Window Shape: 3 (arched)

Date of Window: 1945

Subject/Title of Window: Baptism of Our Lord

Brief Description of Subject: Arched window, depicting the Baptism of Our Lord. St. John the Baptist holds a banner reading "Ecce Agnus Dei" [Behold the Lamb of God]. Holy Spirit in form of Dove shines ray of light on Our Lord's head.
Diamond at bottom of window reads "IHS".
Protected on exterior by Lexan. Form says Lexan was installed in 1945, but Lexan had not been invented then, so this is likely a mistake, intended only to say that the window was installed in 1945.

The MSGC is a constantly evolving database. Not all the data that has been collected by volunteers has been sorted and entered. Not every building has been completely documented.

All images in the Index are either born-digital photographs of windows or buildings or are scans of slides, prints, or other published sources. These images have been provided by volunteers and the quality of the material varies widely.
