Subject/Title of Window: Ornamental Bell Tower

Brief Description of Subject: There are two of these windows on the lower level of each of the bell towers. This one is located on the epistle side. They are designed to let light through.

The highly stylized pattern used is that of a fleur-de-lis ---- three lily petals bound together at their bases. Originally the fleur-de-lis was associated with the Trinity (3 petals) but by the 13th Century it was a symbol of the Virgin Mary (flower of the lily).

I suspect at some point the bottom section of this window suffered some serious damage and was repaired in such a way that the bottom portion of this window no longer matches the bottom portion of the other 3 while the rest of the window still does. I do not know if originally the bottom edge was inscribed with the name of the donor as that portion of the window does not exist on this window.
