Brief Description of Subject: This window presents the familiar scene in the Bethany Home, where Mary sits at Jesus’s feet, listening to His teaching, while Martha with some impatience is busy serving. Significant are Jesus’s words on this occasion in which He emphasizes the need of listening and learning. After that the serving will have greater significance and greater joy.
The window shows a woman teaching, several women singing in a choir, and a group of women sewing on a quilt. The window is meant to recognize the contributions of Christian women to the list and welfare of the church.
