Subject/Title of Window: St. Mark

Brief Description of Subject: Background: Mark was one of the four Evangelists. St. Peter took Mark as a companion and Mark reportedly copied down Peter's sermons and incorporated them into his Gospel. Mark then went to Alexander and founded a community of Christian converts and became its first bishop. Mark is usually painted as having a short square beard and hair receding at the temple.

Description of window: St. Mark is reading a book -- symbolizing a gospel writer. He is giving a bishop's blessing -- right arm lifted with index and middle finger separated from other fingers and raised.

Inscription: Ofiarowali Stanislaw i Bronislawa Smolinski. Translation: Donated by Stanley and Bertha Smolinski.
