Subject/Title of Window: St. Hedwig Queen of Poland

Brief Description of Subject: Window has been re-purposed to chapel at St. Regis in Bloomfield Hills.

Background: St. Hedwig queen of Poland (1374 - 1399) was born into royalty. She became Queen of Poland on the death of her father. St. Hedwig was very instrumental in the unification of Poland and Lithuania as she married the Prince of Lithuania, Wladyslaw Jagiello, and converted him to Catholicism. Spiritually she is known for her devotion to the sick and the poor.

Description of Window: St. Hedwig is costumed as the Queen of Poland.

Inscription: Only the surname of the donor is legible it is "Staron"

This window was refurbished by Thompson Glass Co. LCC, when it was moved to St. Regis.
