Subject/Title of Window: Palm Sunday
Brief Description of Subject: Window Six. The events of Palm Sunday are depicted by the arch, symbolizing Jesus’s entry into Jerusalem and the palm branches, reminding us of the crowds which spread branches on the road and shouted, “Hosanna to eh Son of David “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord (Matthew 21:1-11). It was near Jerusalem and about this time that Jesus raised from the dead his friend Lazarus (John Chapter 11), symbolized by the casket and empty tomb. The temple, whip, and money symbolized Jesus’s cleansing of the temple, as recorded in John 2:13-22.
The MSGC is a constantly evolving database. Not all the data that has been collected by volunteers has been sorted and entered. Not every building has been completely documented.
All images in the Index are either born-digital photographs of windows or buildings or are scans of slides, prints, or other published sources. These images have been provided by volunteers and the quality of the material varies widely.
