Subject/Title of Window: James The Less

Brief Description of Subject: Brief Description: Medallion in center contains the attribute of the apostle James the Less. The background, like all of the nave windows of this Church, is mostly formed by rectangular shaped pieces of glass. For many centuries. the attribute of James the Less has been a windmill, but it is not known why. The best explanation of scholars is that he was killed with a fuller's club and by medieval times fulling was no longer done with clubs but was done using a water mill. Purely by mistake, a stained glass window put a windmill instead of a water mill as his symbol  and since that time it has remained his symbol.

The window was donated by Albert F. and Anna L. Stever.
