Brief Description of Subject: Left panel-Jesus appears to Disciples at Emmaus supper. Elijah is raising the son of the widow Zaripeth. Christ appears to the Disciples through closed doors. Center panel- Christ ascending. Christ is appearing to Mary Magdalene in the garden calling to him, “Rabboni.” An angel is standing before the empty tomb. Right panel- Christ appears to Thomas who examines the nail scars. Lazarus is standing having been raised from the dead. Christ appears again to his Disciples by the Sea of Galilee.

Inscriptions: Left panel-”The Lord is risen indeed.” “See thy son liveth.” “Peace be unto you.”
Center panel-”I go to prepare a place for you.” “Rabboni.” “He is not here he is risen.”
Right panel-”My Lord and my God.” “Whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.” “It is the Lord.” “In loving memory of Carolina Louisa Bertsch and John Bertsch
