Brief Description of Subject: Description: The sacristy windows are important days celebrated throughout the Liturgical year. In the Christian Faith the year begins with Advent which is always celebrated on the nearest Sunday to the feast of St. Andrew which is November 30th. A priest's hand is seen on a book opened to a page with the words "St. Andrew" and a picture of a man on an "X" shaped cross -- which is the attribute of St. Andrew. There are 4 Sundays before Christmas and pictured are 4 lit candles; each Sunday one of those candles was lit so by the Sunday before Christmas all 4 will be lit. A 5th candle is seen as a cross and will be lit on Christmas. The trumpets announce the coming of the Lord.

The MSGC is a constantly evolving database. Not all the data that has been collected by volunteers has been sorted and entered. Not every building has been completely documented.

All images in the Index are either born-digital photographs of windows or buildings or are scans of slides, prints, or other published sources. These images have been provided by volunteers and the quality of the material varies widely.

If you have any questions, additions or corrections, or think you can provide better images and are willing to share them, please contact donald20@msu.edu
