Brief Description of Subject: The Ascension is covered in Acts 1:6 - 10 --- Jesus promises the disciples they would soon receive the power of the Holy Spirit (Pentecost). After he said this, while the they looked on, he ascended into heaven.
This window, located in the narthex, depicts an angel pointing to heaven where Christ has now gone. In the trefoil above this Ascension Angel is a dove with a nimbus --- symbol of the Holy Spirit.
Plaque below window reads:
"In loving memory of Henry Wilson Walker 1811 - 1886, a founder of this Church, and of his wife Emily Nowell Walker 1837 - 1914."
