Subject/Title of Window: Descending Dove
Brief Description of Subject: The roundel of this window was originally the rose window above the altar at the Holy Trinity Slovak Church in Detroit. With the merging of this parish with Historic Trinity in 1995, the Church was closed and this window was brought over to Historic Trinity. The window needed to fit the larger and rectangular space of its new home in the Luther Lounge, this was accomplished using plastic rather than glass.
The church refers to this as "The Slovak Window."
The roundel consists of floral and geometric patterns centered by a descending dove with a nimbus --- symbol of the Holy Spirit (Luke 3:22).
