Subject/Title of Window: Lion of Judah and an Eagle

Brief Description of Subject: This decorative aisle window was designed to let light into the Church. It is in the shape of a lit candle symbolizing Christ --- "I am the light of the world," John 8:12. The window features two shields with symbols.

Symbols used:
Lion of Judah: Symbolizes Christ. In the Old Testament the lion was the symbol for the tribe of Judah --- Jacob refers to his son Judah as a "Young Lion," Genesis 49:9. In The New Testament, referring to Christ "And one of the elders said to me, 'Do not weep! See, the lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed. He is able to open the scroll and the seven seals.' " Revelation 5:5
Eagle: Symbolizes the divine nature of Jesus as it soars heavenward.
