Artist Name: Francois Grenier
City: Farmington
Window Shape: 6 (gothic arched, more than 2 vertical sections)
Date of Window: 1922
Subject/Title of Window: West Narthex Window
Brief Description of Subject: This three lancet window is located in a corridor leading to what at one time were the main entrances to the Church. The middle lancet features a medallion.
The Church could find no information pertaining to the medallion. One could surmise that the window was created to preserve the medallion which had existed before this Church building.
The background of the medallion includes a seaside village and what appears to be a sailing ship. The figure in the center is most likely Christ (nimbus and traditional clothing). The preadolescent girl and boy are wearing clothes from a much later time, possibly from the period the medallion was created.

The MSGC is a constantly evolving database. Not all the data that has been collected by volunteers has been sorted and entered. Not every building has been completely documented.
All images in the Index are either born-digital photographs of windows or buildings or are scans of slides, prints, or other published sources. These images have been provided by volunteers and the quality of the material varies widely.
