Subject/Title of Window: The Window of Christian Symbols
Brief Description of Subject: The Lamb of God is pictured in the center of the Rose Window, with two adoring angels on either side. In the eight petals, we begin with the symbol of communion, portrayed at the top by the cup of wine and the communion wafer. Proceeding clockwise, is the circle, emblematic of immortality; the dove, symbol of peace; the crown and keys, symbols of tje authority of Christ; the fish, a symbol of Christianity; the Greek letters standing for, "Jesus Christ, Son of God. Saviour." Above, the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end; the anchor, the symbol of the soul's security in Christianity. There is the crown of thorns, which was pressed down upon the brow of Jesus, and the pitchers of drugged wine and vinegar, offered to Him on the cross, and again, the dove of peace, and the cirlce, symbol of immortality.
