Subject/Title of Window: Church Unity

Brief Description of Subject: “The theme is Unity. Around the central figure of Christ are the four major means of emplyment in our community-machinery work, shipping, salt, and farming. These find their greatest meaning and unity in Christ who is a lamp unto our feet,-opening welcoming all. Around his head is Tri-Radiant nimbus symbolizing his sanctity and cross he bore. Around Him is an oval aureole depicting his glory. Above Him is a A and O symbolizing that he was in the beginning and will be in the ending. Above this is a lamb carrying a banner symbolizing that Christ is the sacrificial lamb for all, but that the sacrifice was victorious. All of these are reasons Christ is the central figure of unity and hope in the world.” M. Seymour

The MSGC is a constantly evolving database. Not all the data that has been collected by volunteers has been sorted and entered. Not every building has been completely documented.

All images in the Index are either born-digital photographs of windows or buildings or are scans of slides, prints, or other published sources. These images have been provided by volunteers and the quality of the material varies widely.
