Brief Description of Subject: St. Mark, in triangle in center of clover, with a lion’s head on his shoulder.
Christ and the two angels appearing to Abraham at Abraham's tent: Genesis 18; recounts the visit of three men to Abraham. After Jesus' resurrection, traditions started to develop that one of the three men was a prefigurement of Christ, due to the reference that "the Lord appeard to Abraham" (Genesis 18:1). The Three Young Men in the Furnace: Daniel 3. Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego in flames watched by King Nebuchadnezzar and nobles.
