Subject/Title of Window: St. Stanislaus Kostka

Brief Description of Subject: Octofoil at the top has a LAMB carrying a VICTORY BANNER and sitting on a BOOK with 7 SEALS. This image comes from the book of Revelation chapter 5 (Apocalypse) the lamb (Christ) that had been slain and came back to life (victory banner) will open the 7 seals.

The figure is St. Stanislaus Kostka (1550 - 1568). He was a novice of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits). In this window he is costumed as a Jesuit looking towards heaven while praying. Legend -- when he was very sick, Saint Barbara brought two angels to give him the Holy Eucharist; in this window one of the angels has the Eucharist while the other carries a lily (purity).
