Subject/Title of Window: Thirsting for God

Brief Description of Subject: Psalm 42 “As the deer longs for streams of water, so my soul longs for you O God.” Because the deer seeks refuge and solitude in the deep forest, it has been used to symbolize purity of life. Portrayed in this window is a buck drinking from the cool stream. This beautiful creature which inhabits the forests and meadows of our area can remind us of our own thirst for something no water can quench. Only god can satisfy our soul’s thirst.

The MSGC is a constantly evolving database. Not all the data that has been collected by volunteers has been sorted and entered. Not every building has been completely documented.

All images in the Index are either born-digital photographs of windows or buildings or are scans of slides, prints, or other published sources. These images have been provided by volunteers and the quality of the material varies widely.
