Subject/Title of Window: St. Francis of Assisi

Brief Description of Subject: The window has been re-purposed to the Chapel at St. Regis in Bloomfield Hills.

Background: St. Francis of Assisi (c1181 - 1226) was a preacher and founder of the Franciscan Order. Patron Saint of Italy and animals. Legend has St. Francis receiving the stigmata in1224 -- the first known person to receive the wounds of Christ. He died while reciting Psalm 142(KJV) -- Voce mea ad Dominum Clamavi (I cried unto the Lord).

Description of Window: St Francis is seen dressed as a Franciscan. He is seen receiving the stigmata -- the wounds can be seen on his hands.

Inscriptions: Inscription at bottom can not be seen on this picture and is unknown at this time.
