Subject/Title of Window: St. Helena

Brief Description of Subject: This window has been re-purposed to chapel at St. Regis in Bloomfield Hills.

Background: St. Helena (274 - 330) was the mother of the Roman Emperor Constantine the Great. Legend has it  that before a major battle he saw a cross in the sky and he credited divine intervention for his success in that battle. He then legalized the Christian faith in the Roman Empire. He made his mother, Helena, an empress. She is best known for her discovery of the True Cross on a trip to the Holy Land.

Description of Window: Helena dressed as an empress is holding the True Cross.

This window was refurbished by Thompson Glass Co. LCC, when it was moved to St. Regis.
