Subject/Title of Window: St. Matthew

Brief Description of Subject: Background. St. Matthew was an apostle and Gospel writer. Legend has him killed  in Ethiopia by a swordsman while saying Mass. A maniple is a liturgical article of clothing that was required, until recent reforms, to be worn on the left forearm during the celebration of the extra ordinary form of the Roman Catholic Mass. It is a strip of cloth with strings in the middle to secure it to the arm.

Description of Window: St. Matthew is holding onto a sword (method of martyrdom) with both hands and bracing a book (gospel writer) against his body. On his left forearm is a golden colored maniple (he was saying Mass when murdered).

Inscription: Ofiarowali Fr.(anciszek), Katarzyna i Helena Corka Sobczyk. Translation: Donated by Frank and Katherine Sobczyk and their daughter Helen.
