Subject/Title of Window: St. James the Greater

Brief Description of Subject: Background: St James the Greater also known as St. James son of Zebedee was an apostle. He was the first of the apostles to be martyred. Legend has St. James preaching in the Iberian Peninsula. He became very discouraged and one day while praying on the banks of the Ebro River at Zaragoza the Virgin Mary appeared to him and told him to build a church at this spot in her honor.

Window description: St James the greater is posed in prayer. He is costumed in a blue (heaven) tunic and red (martyr) toga.

Inscription: Ofiarowali Jan i Antonina Kociemba. Translation: Donated by John and Antoinette Kociemba.
