St. Patrick’s Catholic Church Window

Building: St. Patrick's Catholic Church

City: Traverse City

State: Michigan

Left: This triptych window at St. Patrick's Catholic Church represents the "Tree of Life" during three seasons.

Right: The central panel depicts the tree in summer, as swallows encircle its fruit-laden branches and the water of life flows from its base.

The side panels represent the tree in spring (left) and autumn (right). At the base of each panel are circles enclosing an anchor, cross, and chalice.

Completed in 1986 and dedicated in 1987, St. Patrick's Church was designed by F. Jon Walter of Traverse City. Many of the church furnishings were provided by talented parishioners and other local artists. The stained glass windows were created by Tom Woodruff of Traverse City in 1986 and 1987.

St. Patrick's Catholic Church of Traverse City was registered in the Michigan Stained Glass Census by Tom Woodruff of Traverse City.
