Brief Description of Subject: The Beatitudes of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. Upper part: Christ is shown comforting Mary at the empty Easter tomb. A butterfly symbolizes Christian hope in new life. Christ is comforting Mary at the empty Easter tomb. A butterfly is above him which is the Christian symbol for hope and new life.
