Brief Description of Subject: The description of this aisle window was taken from a Church booklet on their windows made by City Glass Specialty.

"Christ calls forth Lazarus from the tomb, the symbol of his death. The wedding miracle at Cana is recalled by the presence of the six stone jars and the two interlocking wedding rings of a cross. The restoration of sight to the blind man is also portrayed. Included symbolically in the ventilators by two fish and five loaves is the feeding of the five thousand."

The pen and ink sketch was submitted to the Church by the maker for final approval or any changes they may want to make before the construction of the window. In this case the Church wanted extensive changes to be made.

The maker has signed the window at the bottom "City Glass Specialty 1982."

The MSGC is a constantly evolving database. Not all the data that has been collected by volunteers has been sorted and entered. Not every building has been completely documented.

All images in the Index are either born-digital photographs of windows or buildings or are scans of slides, prints, or other published sources. These images have been provided by volunteers and the quality of the material varies widely.

If you have any questions, additions or corrections, or think you can provide better images and are willing to share them, please contact donald20@msu.edu
