Subject/Title of Window: Bach and Handel

Brief Description of Subject: There are three music windows off the narthex, in the coat room area. There is a common border in all three of these windows, which depicts vegetation and various musical instruments.

The center window depicts Bach and Handel. Above Bach is the symbol that appeared on his signet ring. Above Handel is one specifically describing him. At the top center of the window is a scene of the church where Handel played, as well as organ pipes from that church. Bach is playing an organ that is a likeness of the instru-ment he played during his lifetime. The statement at the top of the center window reads “Every valley shall be exalted” (Isaiah 40:4).
