Building Name: Church of the Divine ChildStudio Name: Willet Hauser Architectural Glass
City: Dearborn
Window Shape: 2 (rectangle)
Subject/Title of Window: Eucharist 9-Sanctuary
Brief Description of Subject: This is the ninth of 9 such sanctuary windows symbolically depicting the Eucharist.
This maybe a "Sanctuary Lamp" which is lit when the Eucharist wafer is in the tabernacle, but don’t know how it would relate to the two sheep, one bathed in the light the other turned head away from the light, to a sanctuary lamp.
The window was conceived by a master stained glass designer, Marguirite Gaudin of Willet Hauser Architectural Glass.
Comments from "Our Stained Glass Windows" c. 1970 " focusing our attention on the north and south walls of the sanctuary, we raise our eyes to the small square windows. These delightful little gems bearing in themselves the symbols of the Blessed Sacrament. A different symbol is designed in each little window, beautifully executed and sparkling with life."
Height: 24"

The MSGC is a constantly evolving database. Not all the data that has been collected by volunteers has been sorted and entered. Not every building has been completely documented.
All images in the Index are either born-digital photographs of windows or buildings or are scans of slides, prints, or other published sources. These images have been provided by volunteers and the quality of the material varies widely.
If you have any questions, additions or corrections, or think you can provide better images and are willing to share them, please contact donald20@msu.edu
