Brief Description of Subject: The gothic cross is a symbol of the youth organization of the United Methodist Church today and before, the Methodist Chruch (after 1938), and before that the Methodist Episcopal Chruch. The MEC youth group was called the Epworth League, a name that was changed in 1938 to something else.
