Subject/Title of Window: The Last Supper

Brief Description of Subject: Window Seven. Several events of Maundy, Thursday are depicted on this window. The basin and towel refer to Jesus, washing on the disciples’ feet and telling them “I have given you an example” (John 13:1-17). The bag with a “30” on it symbolized the betrayal of Jesus by Judas for thirty pieces of silver (Matthew 26:14-16). The grapes and wheat, bread on a paten and chalice bring the memory the institution of the Lord’s supper on that first Maudy sung a hymn, they went out tot eth Mount of Olives.

The MSGC is a constantly evolving database. Not all the data that has been collected by volunteers has been sorted and entered. Not every building has been completely documented.

All images in the Index are either born-digital photographs of windows or buildings or are scans of slides, prints, or other published sources. These images have been provided by volunteers and the quality of the material varies widely.
