Brief Description of Subject: Description of stained glass windows in main sanctuary
The Seven Days of Creation
Six windows spell as in Hebrew from right to left bereshit “In the beginning…each window showing one of the six letters and the seventh one, because it is a day of rest.

Window VII
“and the heaven the earth were finished…and on the seventh day God finished his work…and he rested on the seventh day from all his work… and God blessed the seventh day and hallowed it.
In his goodness he reneweth the creation every day. The designs show spirals coming out of a circle… God is Ein Sof –infinite, no beginning no ending, I also used a hexagram from the ten sefiroth with the lining of the universe running through it.. God at rest reflecting upon his works, above the stars, planets, sun and moon; below plants and animals, the dove reaching for the olive branch, apparently not yet attainable and a lion and lamb together. See Isaiah XI7 and superimposed on all design a Mogen David.

The MSGC is a constantly evolving database. Not all the data that has been collected by volunteers has been sorted and entered. Not every building has been completely documented.

All images in the Index are either born-digital photographs of windows or buildings or are scans of slides, prints, or other published sources. These images have been provided by volunteers and the quality of the material varies widely.

If you have any questions, additions or corrections, or think you can provide better images and are willing to share them, please contact donald20@msu.edu
