Brief Description of Subject: This window contains the Jerusalem cross at the top of the window. This cross is composed of four Tau crosses with four semi enclosed Greek crosses which may represent the four gospels. This cross is symbolic of Christ’s power to heal the diseases of men’s bodies and souls. It later became known as the crusaders cross. On one panel a lamp is displayed,a symbol for intelligence and learning, while the other contains the emblem for apostle Paul, an opened Bible with a sword of the spirit.
