Brief Description of Subject: From the booklet, "First United Methodist Church, Grand Ledge, Michigan. Walking Tour Guide of the Stained Glass Windows," by C. Bernard Johnson (1994).
This is the window of the Joel McPeeks. Joel came to Michigan with his parents in 1852, locating in Oneida Township. He was united in marriage to Lydia Loveless of Grand Ledge in 1863. Mr. McPeek was a barber in business in the city for 44 years. He passed away April 15, 1915, at the age of 75 years.

Lydia Loveless McPeek came to Grand Ledge with her parents at the age of ten. After the passing of her first husband, Joel, she married Edwin F. Kent in 1921. She was a long time member of the church, and by her quiet Christian personality won many friends. She died in 1931 at the age of 81 years.
