Building Notes: The Madonna University Welcome Center has a dual purpose --- one for the students and administrators at the University and the other for the Felician Sisters Archive and their Heritage Museum. The building was designed to be a modern reflection of the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi --- see the architects website for details

The full title of the Felician Sisters is "Congregation of Sisters of St. Felix of Cantalice Third Order Regular of St. Francis. All seven stained glass windows on the first floor of the Welcome Center reflect this. Six of those windows are made up of windows that were either from a previous closed church or made to resemble those from the closed church. The predellas of those six were separated and placed below each window. The predellas are narrower in width as the predellas from the closed church were made to open to allow the circulation of air. All seven windows are artificially lit as they face the corridor. They all have protection which will cause some glare.
