Building Notes: The stained glass windows in this church were originally installed in two different churches. The Presbyterian Church was organized in 1882 and the Ames Memorial Methodist Church organized in 1888. In July of 1962, the two churches federated to become one, The Church of the Straits (Methodist and Presbyterian). A number of century old stained glass windows from the former churches have been restored and rededicated in the new church.
