Date Built: 1962

Building Notes: A fire gutted St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church on Sunday, July 1, 2012. Neighbors near the church have theorized that fireworks caused the blaze, largely because of reports of fireworks going off all night before the fire started about 1 a.m. Sunday. Stained glass artist Maria Orr arrived on the scene on Monday, July 2 to salvage stained glass windows. Bishop Hurley on Sunday said the church would be rebuilt but could not give a timeframe for that to happen. The church website has created a “rebuilding” page for parish members and the public to check for updates.
