ArtistDonlin, Martin
Birth Year: 1959
Biography: Martin Donlin was born in England and from 1984 to 1987 he attended the well known Swansea art school and studied architectural glass; Donlin has been receiving awards for his craft ever since. He currently lives and works out of East Sussex in the UK where he produces commissioned pieces for public facilities throughout Europe and North America. Donlin works with many types of materials, using everything from antique mouth-blown glass to screen-printed ceramic tiles to acid-etched and polished glass. As with Guy Kemper, Donlin’s glass art is fabricated in Germany, under the artist’s watchful eye. Donlin’s Michigan artwork can be seen at Brody Hall, on the campus of Michigan State University.
