Brief Description of Subject: On the left is a torch which symbolizes missions and the chain emblematic of ignorance. The torch was introduced as the act of ministering to those in darkness. On the right shows the scythe and the wheat representing harvest, a time of reaping or gathering of crops. In the church the harvest symbolizes evangelism.
