Subject/Title of Window: The Madonna of the Chair

Brief Description of Subject: This window is a reproduction of the painting by Raphael entitled Madonna of the Chair. The Madonna is sitting in a chair holding the Christ child tightly to her breast. In the background of the right side of the child is another child, John the Baptist. His hands are folded and a small cross is resting on his right shoulder. The three figures are enclosed in a circle. The circle is surrounded by leaves in geometric designs artfully arranged around the trio but within the outer oval shape. Around the edge of the oval shape are four crosses. two placed at the bottom on the right and left side of the oval.

Height: 32”

Width: 22”

Type of Glass and Technique: Antique or Cathedral Glass, Lead Came, Vitreous Paint, Silver Stain, Etching or Sandblasting
