Brief Description of Subject: Arched window, ornamental, with medallion in center depicting lit lamp. Stained glass window is set in transparent window along north side of church. It was transferred to its current location from the old First Methodist Church of Northville in 1977, and installed by Charlie George, of the church.
Description of this window as found in the book "Northville First United Methodist Church 1834 - 2009.":
"The lamp has long been the symbol for intelligence and learning. In Christian art it stands for that knowledge and wisdom emanating from the Word of God as found in Holy Scriptures. We are all familiar with the verse in Psalm 119:105 which is the basis for this symbol, 'Thy word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.'"
According to Church records, this window was dedicated in 1955 to the memory of Reverand and Mrs. J. J. Link and Mr. and Mrs. Job Lee.
