Subject/Title of Window: Peace

Brief Description of Subject: Female Figure with Dove. The creating studio tells us this is the allegorical woman figure, “Peace”. The beautiful, serene woman holds a dove, a symbol of peace from after the flood in the book of Genesis. This window is one of three opalescent style stained glass windows in the church. Mary Ellen Clay was born in Albion, Michigan and married Grannis Moulthrop at Trinity church in 1861. She was also baptized and confirmed as a member of the church the same year. Many years after the death of Grannis, Mary married William Henry Leith.
