Below him is a cross and a monarch butterfly. Made by Diane Eissinger, of Belleville, MI.
The identification of the Lazarus of Jesus' story in Luke 16 with St. Lazarus, brother of Ss. Mary Magdalene and Martha, who was raised from the dead, appears to be a Medieval idea, though the early Fathers were divided as to whether Luke 16 was a true story or a parable.

The MSGC is a constantly evolving database. Not all the data that has been collected by volunteers has been sorted and entered. Not every building has been completely documented.

All images in the Index are either born-digital photographs of windows or buildings or are scans of slides, prints, or other published sources. These images have been provided by volunteers and the quality of the material varies widely.
